A policy that makes good sense
We created Foremost Classic® ACV insurance for homeowners who need comprehensive coverage but don't qualify for replacement cost coverage on the dwelling.
For example, your home's market value may be far below normal replacement cost. It could be a Victorian or other antique home with hard-to-replace trim. Maybe you wouldn't rebuild the same way if there was a total loss.
Whatever the reason, Foremost Classic® ACV may be just the policy you've been looking for. It provides comprehensive coverage for the home and other structures, such as a detached garage or tool shed. Comprehensive means they are insured against all direct physical losses not specifically excluded in the policy.
For claim settlement purposes, Foremost Classic® ACV is an actual cash value policy. If your property is damaged by an insured peril, the settlement will be based on the replacement cost of the property, minus depreciation for age and wear.
Coverage for personal property, too!
Foremost Classic® ACV also covers your personal property, including clothing, appliances and furniture, against a wide range of causes: fire, lightning, windstorm, hail, smoke and more. If a covered loss occurs, we'll pay what the personal property is worth at the time of loss, taking into account age and depreciation.
If desired, you can select replacement cost coverage on the personal property. Then we'll pay to replace lost items with new ones of equivalent quality and value - without deducting for depreciation.
A Foremost Classic® ACV policy also provides theft coverage, with a $1,000 limit.
